You are correct. I should re-write it in 6/8 (or 12/8?)
I do find it easier to read in 4/4 with swung triplets, though :)

I've seen several charts in 4/4, I've never seen a version in 6/8. Maybe the original Mandel score was 6/8? The Metheny/Haden version is definitely 4/4

I had another person tell me it's 6/8, but most say 4/4.
Anyway, I've tried to rewrite it in 6/8 and, for me, it just doesn't work. I keep hearing 4/4, so I will leave it as is.
